The main gist of this unit focused on the Reign of Terror, King Louis, Napoleon, the Industrial Revolution and the overall understanding of Human Rights. Each lesson played a huge part for us because it taught us how people can have good intentions, but after awhile, have the possibility to go corrupt. The French Revolution could've gone either way, on one side King Louis had no clue on how to rule his people and on the other side, a totally corrupt man rose up to be the Dictator due to having complete control over the Committee of Public Safety. After each member fell to the guillotine, Napoleon soon came into power and led a charge against everyone else who had threatened the well-being of France. The Industrial Revolution was a period of time in which nations developed more industrial and urban places, as well as a there was a shift in better technology for people around the world. Finally, we come to the Human Rights, which brings equality for all people no matter who you are as a person. Without any of this, nothing would be the same, such as the development of cities that we currently possess.

Modern Global ImpactThe world we live on today has been benefited greatly due to the fact that hundreds of years ago multiple nations around the globe decided to industrialize. Such as, most people have been priveleged to possess Communication, Transportation, and Education. With these key necessities, people no longer have to struggle in life as much as people did back then. By industrializing, societies are now more capable of doing what they wouldn't be able to do a few hundred years back.

Impact on my Personal LifeWithout these simple rights and privileges that I currently have at the moment, not just me, but the entire world would be different. I say this because modern technology literally does anything for us, well most of it. Most likely I would act and think in a totally different way. As well as if the entire world didn't possess the things they created then I believe that it would make everyone more independent and would make us think for ourselves a little bit more.

Current Event Relevant to this UnitIt is believed that Donald Trump will now be our new president and is doing everything in his power to make his dream for a wall, a reality. No matter its price, Trump believes this is best way to run his country. The total estimated cost is said to be around $5.1 billion to $25 billion and according to millions of people in the US, this is good business. This might not only damage society and cause conflict within the country, but also can potentially cause a great amount of debt that we already have.
